Digitizing/CNC tooling
Digitizing/CNC tooling
- 1. 3D-Engineering of Cincinnati, Ohio collects data from our HT6 Body Plug in the first step of the digitizing process. 3D-Engineering uses a 7-axis Faro Platinum LaserScan CMM capable of collecting 20,000 data points per second with accuracy up to 0.005″.

- 2. Here the data points from our HT6 Body plug have been uploaded into NX parametric feature-based modeling software. NX software is widely used in the automotive and aerospace sectors due to its ability to produce high quality models.

- 3. After the data points have been surfaced, 3D-Engineering implements any design changes and then refines our models to perfection.

- 4. Shown here are the highly refined models created by 3D-Engineering which will be used to create new-generation tooling. This will be used to create the best HoverTrek yet.

- 5. After all modeling is finished, we have the capability to run design studies and in-depth reviews. The data will be closely analyzed in order to eliminate any flaws and produce a better Hovercraft than ever before.

- 6. When all modeling and painstaking refinement is finished we forward the data to our plug builder. The plug builder will input the data into CNC routers which will machine our next-generation tooling to within several thousandths of an inch. Tooling this accurate is unseen in the light.
